Brigade 4 BHK Apartments: Carpet Area vs Super Built-up Area
Carpet area is the floor area inside your walls that you can lay a carpet on. Super built-up area adds a share of walls, lobbies, lifts and the clubhouse. Example from the project pages: Fairmont at Brigade Orchards lists a 3 BHK carpet area of about 1,243 sq ft against a super built-up area starting around 1,905 sq ft, so carpet is roughly 65% of what you are billed on. At ₹1.69 Cr that is about ₹13,600 per carpet sq ft, but only about ₹8,900 per super built-up sq ft. Always compare projects on carpet area.
